Duncan Cressall Loughborough University A trio of brands developed by imago services, the in-house catering operation at Loughborough, has been among the changes brought in by operations director Cressall. 'Fuel', 'Taste' and 'Dine' offer different but complementary propositions across the campus and since their introduction food and drink sales have risen by 22.5% and costs have been reduced. Brand manuals have been developed to make the offer consistent and as part of the brand development Loughborough has expanded them together with 'meal plans' in halls of residence to become the first UK university delivering a full nutritional analysis for students, staff and visitors. It has taken the scheme one stage further to link up with a web-based application that not only delivers nutritional information but also allows students to set up their own food diaries.
