Unox hosts industry leaders at inaugural Chef’s Table event

Some of the industry’s leading chefs, operators, dealers and distributors joined equipment manufacturer Unox to celebrate top food, service and networking at its first Chef’s Table event held at the Michelin-star Grace & Savour restaurant.

The venue is led by husband and wife team David and Anette Taylor and the occasion marked the first in what’s planned to be a series of exclusive events hosted by Unox.

Developing the concept behind The Chef’s Table, Steven McGarvie, managing director at Unox UK, said: “We couldn’t have asked for a better setting to host our inaugural Chef’s Table event than Grace & Savour at Hampton Manor.

“David, Anette and their team delivered flawless food complemented by the perfect service, for which we express our sincere thanks.

“We came up with the concept of The Chef’s Table to bring together customers from across the sector, allowing them to celebrate, catch up with friends old and new and enjoy some truly world-class food, and that’s exactly what we achieved.

“This was not about a hard sell; this was an opportunity for us to facilitate and nurture conversation, connection, and ultimately everything this industry is about – the people.

“We plan to host further Chef’s Table events later in the year, so keep your eyes peeled for more information.”

Guests included internationally renowned chefs as well as representatives of global chains, leading equipment distributors and foodservice consultants.

They were served a 10-course tasting menu featuring seasonal, locally sourced and home-grown ingredients, expertly cooked, often in the restaurant’s Unox ovens by David and his kitchen team.

From Scottish hand-dived scallops to beetroot from New Fields Organics, asparagus from the kitchen garden to delicious Lavington Lamb, the menu delivered dish after spectacular dish to those in the room.

David Taylor, Chef Director at Grace & Savour added: “We couldn’t have been prouder to be chosen by Unox to host the first Chef’s Table event at Grace & Savour. While on paper, the guest list of internationally recognised chefs and operators was daunting, I’m incredibly proud of the food we served and the way the team delivered a seamless service to every guest.”

Grace & Savour is located on a sprawling, rural country estate a few miles from Birmingham.
