Abstract
A new app-less mobile ordering system that is adaptable to any hospitality setting offers caterers a contact-free way for customers to scan menus, order food and drink, pay, leave tips and even provide reviews.

Yoello is an Financial Conduct Authority-authorised mobile payment platform that uses open banking to cut out intermediaries and connect the banks of sellers and customers directly.

Scott Waddington, non-executive director at Yoello, said: “Inside of one week, any venue can have its own mobile ordering and payment platform up and running from as little as £1.30 a day.”

Table service, ordering ahead, collection and deliveries can be managed through the single platform, with the services accessed by catering staff and customers by simply scanning a QR code with any smartphone or by typing in a url.

As the platform is mobile-based, there is no need for customers to download an app or even register to order and pay.

This feature offers opportunities for staff and visitor restaurants in hospitals or in universities as it is simple and seamless for everyone.
