New chief exec to take over reins at Müller UK

Abstract
Stewart Gilliland will be stepping down from his role as Chief Executive Officer at Müller Dairy at the end of the year when he will hand over the reins to Gharry Eccles, formerly Managing Director of The Wrigley Company Limited.
Gilliland - who joined Müller Dairy in June 2006 following a 21-year career in the drinks industry with the Whitbread Beer Company/Interbrew and InBev - will be retiring from full-time employment, but plans to continue his work in non-executive roles within the food and drink industry. He is currently a non-executive director of Brulines, a beer dispense monitoring equipment company, and Dairy UK, and will also continue to work with Müller in an advisory capacity on a global basis. Gharry Eccles, who has extensive experience in the FMCG industry including six years as Managing Director, will take up his new appointment on January 1st 2010. Mike Paxton, HR Director at Müller Dairy, said: "We have seen significant change in the three and a half years that Stewart has spent at Müller. Through his inspirational leadership he has enabled the business to consistently exceed its performance and deliver outstanding results.
