Under 30s urged to enter Springboard’s Olive Barnett Award

21st Mar 2012 - 00:00
Abstract
There is still plenty of time for those working in hospitality, leisure and tourism who are aged 30 and under, to enter Springboard’s Olive Barnett Award.
Entrants in a customer facing role now have until Friday 23rd March 2012 after the deadline was extended. This year's question is: Describe your vision for a new hospitality business, including its unique differentiators. What internal communication strategies would you use to ensure that every member of staff had a clear understanding of your vision for the business. The Olive Barnett Award was created in 1975 by the Savoy Gastronomes in recognition of Olive Barnett's dedication to the pursuit of excellence through training within the Savoy Group. It seeks to actively reward excellence in employees who have a customer facing role. Entrants must be under the age of 30 as of 31 March 2012 and in permanent employment in the hospitality, leisure and tourism industry, anywhere in the world, and, most importantly, working in a customer facing role. Selected candidates will then be invited to make a personal presentation to the judging panel. To enter visit the webiste: www.sgoba.springboard.uk.net
