The authentic recipe from France comes pre-baked leaving caterers to fill the flan themselves. Possibly creating a crème patisserie flan topped with summer fruits for a ‘fresh’ and ‘light’ dessert.

Available in packs of eight, the cases measure approximately nine inches in diameter to serve eight people per unit. 

Baker Street are also offering sponge cake layers that are baked and ready to decorate, allowing ‘show-stopping’ stacked desserts in quick time. 

Louise Reynard, foodservice commercial manager for St. Pierre Groupe, which includes the Baker Street brand said: “Some 1.5 billion desserts were consumed by Brits in the 12 months up to November 2017 according to insights from the NPD Group and this volume shows no sign of dropping since, fuelled by the national obsession with The Great British Bake Off and Mary Berry.
