Horlicks develops vegan friendly recipes to ‘inspire’ summer menus

British drinks brand Horlicks has developed a range of new recipes to ‘inspire’ operators to incorporate more vegan friendly beverages into their menus.

The demand for vegan friendly meals and beverages has ‘never been higher’, with the Veganuary campaign receiving a record number of sign-ups.

Michelle Younger, head of marketing for Aimia Foods, said: “Our new recipes have been specifically developed to complement our vegan blend and show just how much Horlicks has to offer when it comes to creating new and exciting, vegan friendly shakes, frappes and more! 

“Our development chef, Paul Dickson, has over 20 years’ experience developing delicious recipes and has used this creative experience to utilise the delicious flavour of Horlicks in multiple dishes and drinks.

“Our highly versatile Horlicks Vegan will help satisfy soaring demand for new vegan options, as well as inspire operators to create on-trend, seasonal beverages that suit a wider range of diets.”   

Seven new recipes have been developed, including:

  1. Baked Vanilla Cheesecake
  2. Banoffee Pie Frappe
  3. Cherry Bakewell Frappe
  4. Cookies & Cream Shake
  5. Crumble & Custard Shake
  6. Horlicks S’mores
  7. Millionaire-layered Horlicks

Horlicks Vegan can be enjoyed hot or cold as well as being enriched with 14 key vitamins and minerals.
