Rieber launch near silent general purpose trolley
Abstract
German trolley manufacturer, Rieber, will be launching a noise-reduced general purpose GP trolley.

The new trolleys are ‘screw constructed’ which will offer improved soundproofing compared to standard welded trolleys and will have the option of foamed PUR castors, cushioned wheels that further reduce noise and absorb shocks.

Rieber have taken advantage of one of the most effective sound-insulation materials. Polyurethane PUR foam creates a wheel that is just as tough as metal or rubber but absorbs sound and vibration. They also have excellent rolling capacity and load-bearing capability.

Gareth Newton, BGL Rieber managing director, said: “GP trolleys are an essential part of the caterer’s equipment portfolio used to deliver everything and anything the business needs.

“The sound difference with the new PUR cushioned wheels is amazing. Imagine walking across a hard floor wearing just your socks instead of a pair of strong shoes. People will no longer hear the trolleys approaching.

“This will be a real bonus for caterers working in public spaces such as atriums or buildings with long corridors. The softer cushioned wheels also help when moving over rough ground and over pavements and kerbs.”
