ARAMARK secures bronze status in Corporate Responsibility Index

11th Jun 2009 - 00:00
Abstract
ARAMARK, the award-winning managed food service company, achieves Bronze status in its first ever entry to the Corporate Responsibility (CR) Index report.
The CR Index is Business in the Community's (BITC) highly acclaimed voluntary benchmark for Corporate Responsibility in the UK. The Index recognises companies which demonstrably improve their accountability and business impact in society and on the environment. Featuring in the Index publicly acknowledges ARAMARK's place as a BITC certified 'Company that Counts' and highlights the extensive level of behavioural change and investment throughout the company to achieve this status. Val Carter, Corporate Responsibility Director at ARAMARK, comments: "As our first ever entry, achieving Bronze in the CR Index further emphasises the level of commitment shown throughout the company to the progression of our core CR plan and its ambitious objectives. This is an important milestone in our CR journey. "At ARAMARK, we realise the importance of buy-in from the whole team, from senior level all the way through the organisation to bring about real and long lasting change." Further results of the Index will be featured within the Responsible Business supplement of the Financial Times on 10th June.
