Wokingham-based foodservice firm Blue Apple Catering held the 19th edition of its annual in-house awards last week.

Winners, chosen at random from a selected shortlist, included Alex lovell (Chef of the Year), Craig Lumley (Manager of the Year) and Peter Phillips (Blue Apple Rising Star).

The awards were handed out by Tony Ball, director of sales at event sponsor Bidfood. Winners also received cash prizes ranging from £25 to £500.

Blue Apple chief executive, Brian Allanson, said: "Every year it just gets bigger and better, we even had fun roulette tables for those that didn’t want to dance and the teams get really competitive when the award winners are announced.
