Abstract
With British Sausage Week (2 – 8 November) just around the corner BPEX is urging all caterers that have yet to get preparations in order to do so now to ensure they don’t miss out.
Organisers have called the week a "fantastic opportunity to boost sales of sausages" adding that many pubs, restaurants, schools and colleges are already onboard – some organising events in conjunction with their suppliers. A host of activity will be taking place throughout the week including duo Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee out and about on a magical mystery tour, generating media awareness for the week and encouraging people to enjoy sausages. BPEX foodservice trade manager, Tony Goodger, said: "It's not long before British Sausage Week gets into full swing, so caterers really need to get cracking before it's too late. "Even simply putting an additional sausage dish on the specials board in celebration of British Sausage Week can have a positive impact on sales. "For those that are in need of some sausage-themed recipe inspiration, they should visit our websites www.britishsausageweek.com and www.porkforcaterers.com for a whole host of delicious recipe ideas."
