CH&Co appoints new sales director for future growth

26th Apr 2011 - 00:00
Abstract
CH&Co has appointed a new sales director, with particular responsibility for business development of the group's staff catering niche brand, Charlton House.
Diane Rollinson officially started her new role on Tuesday 29th March 2011. The investment comes less than a year after CH&Co's major rebranding programme. Before joining CH&Co, Rollinson was business development director with Graysons, and prior to that, business development manager for Restaurants Associates. Commenting on her appointment, Rollinson said: "I wanted to work for a quality, food-focussed company because that is my passion. CH&Co ticked all of the boxes; it is an owner-managed, ethical company that delivers its promises. This is crucially important in sales because it's all about seeing things through and honouring commitments made during the tender and presentation stages. "I am particularly excited about supporting the Charlton House side of the business. It is a name that is well respected and established within the industry. "Very much a niche player, with a turnover of £29 million, it is still far smaller than its closest competitors and that is a real advantage. Size really does matter within the food service sector because clients want a highly personalised and trustworthy service where they feel valued and looked after. I see this as a major selling point for Charlton House." Nico Prinsloo, CH&Co business development director, added: "We feel the time is right to invest in the sales force to enable us to avail of the many fantastic business opportunities which we are approached with for Charlton House. "This niche staff catering brand is very different to the larger companies that dominate this sector. It has different objectives too, very transparent finances and is known for delivering its promises. Many companies are starting to see through the unrealistic cost cutting deals being promised by more unscrupulous contractors recently. In contrast, Charlton House is seen as an ethical player who over-delivers, if anything."
