The course is fully funded and comes as parents pile pressure on the Government to improve school meals. Chefs in Schools research has found that 80% of parents want mandatory nutrition training for school chefs.
The programme has already helped over 100,000 children access better school food across England and it has been expanded to school chefs, catering managers and kitchen assistants in Essex to help even more children.
Sam Phillips, director of programmes at Chefs in Schools, said: “Essex represents an exciting new chapter for us. We’ve seen the transformative impact this training has had in other regions, and we know there’s a huge appetite here to elevate school food.”
School chefs, catering managers and kitchen assistants can sign up now here with limited places available.
