Chief executive of Best Western headlines Arena Christmas Lunch

David Clarke, Chief Executive, Best Western Great Britain has been confirmed as keynote speaker for Arena’s final networking event of 2010 – the Arena Christmas Lunch.
On Monday 6th December 2010, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, London will play host to over 200 senior industry professionals congregating to make face-to-face contact with colleagues and to hear from David Clarke as he addresses some of the big issues affecting the industry today. A 'career hotelier', David has run a wide range of hotels from select private groups to the 5-star Caledonian Hotel in Edinburgh. He is also a dedicated industry contributor sitting on a number of committees, including the BHA Council and chairing the BHA Sustainability Committee. Earlier this year, David stepped outside of his comfort zone and went secretly 'back to the floor' as part of Channel 4's 'Undercover Boss' series. Working incognito in three Best Western Hotels as cleaner, chef, maintenance man, waiter and green keeper, he was able to learn a lot about the inner workings of the business. David will be sharing the highlights and learnings of this experience and his career at the Arena Christmas Lunch, as well as discussing some of the issues that are important and relevant to the attending audience.
