Abstract
Prisoner rehabilitation pioneers, The Clink Charity, has announced that its 2018 annual fundraiser ball will take place on 12 January, in association with venue partner, Royal Lancaster London (Hyde Park).

For £130 per person, guests will be “wined, dined and entertained” with the five-course meal created and prepared by chefs including restaurateur and Saturday Morning Kitchen regular, Adam Byatt; Great British Menu winner Adam Simmonds; Brian Turner; Steve Penny, head pastry chef at Royal Lancaster London; and students from the homeless charity Centrepoint. Each will be assisted by students from University of West London, Lambeth, Bromley and Westminster Kingsway Catering College.

Before enjoying the live band, host and Clink graduate Michael Balogun will hand over to the group’s chef ambassador, Albert Roux, who will lead the ‘Santé du Chef’ - toast to the chef.

Chief executive Chris Moore said: “The Ball is a special highlight in the charity’s calendar. All the money raised on the night will help to continue supporting prisoners in turning their lives around for the better, and continue to fly the flag for prisoner rehabilitation through work-based hospitality training and vocational qualifications.”

Tickets cost £130 per person or £1,200 for a table of 10, and are available to purchase via https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-clink-charity-new-year-ball-tickets-35879803458.

Helping to raise money for the prisoner rehabilitation charity, the event is sponsored by a number of companies including Bidfood (food and ingredients for the dinner); Booker (wine and champagne); Mintleaf (mocktails)

Harvey and Brockless (cheese); Johnsons Stalbridge Linen Services (table linen for the event.)
