Country Range Group appoints Creed’s Philip de Ternant as group chairman
Abstract
Philip de Ternant, managing director of Creed Foodservice, has been named as the new chairman of the Country Range Group.

The announcement was made at the buying group’s annual ‘An Evening With’ event, which took place at Abbey Road Studios and celebrated the work of its members and suppliers over the past year.

Speaking about his appointment, Philip said: “It’s a huge honour to be appointed the new CRG Group chairman and I’m excited to get started and help our members continue to be as competitive as possible in this ever-changing and ever-challenging industry.

“I’ve been a board member at CRG for over ten years now, so I already feel like part of the family, but I’m eager to work even more closely with the wider team and new members as we all work towards our future plans and ambitious goals.”

Philip has become a much respected figure in the sector having held senior roles with wholesalers Booker and Brakes as well as being an ambassador for charity Hospitality Action.

Martin Ward, chief executive of Country Range Group, added: “I’m looking forward to working with him even more closely to ensure our family-run wholesalers can achieve faster and more profitable growth. Philip is a respected leader and a result driven, hugely experienced professional with a proven track record. I have no doubt his appointment as chairman will be a huge asset to the Group.”
