Abstract
A survey asking Britons which discontinued chocolate treats they would most like to see brought back came up with a clear winner – the original recipe Cadbury’s Crème Egg.

Of the 2,473 people asked by OnBuy.com, the UK-based online marketplace, 87% opted for this as their number one choice for a revival after it was replaced in 2015 by a new formulation. The decision generated social media criticism and online petitions for it to be overturned have continued.

The idea for the survey followed the return of Milky Way ‘Crispy Rolls’ to boxes of Celebrations.

And while the Crispy Roll may be back in Celebrations, 73% of us want to see the Galaxy Truffle returned to the box of favourites too. While a different kind of Galaxy truffle is available, the iconic red box is where most want to see the classic treat.

In third place is the Mars Delight bar, which was discontinued in 2008. It has been described online as ‘the taste of childhood’ and is remembered fondly, with 68% of Brits calling for its return.

Of the ten choices presented, the treat that gained least support for a return was the Texan Bar, which was originally made in the 1970s and 1980s and brought back for a one-off release in 2005. Only 24% of those surveyed had a hankering to see it back on shelves.
