Abstract
As the closing date of Friday 24th March gets closer, CUBO is urging universities and further education colleges in the UK and Ireland to recognise their talent and submit entries for this year’s CUBO Awards.

New in 2023, CUBO is partnering with The University Catering Organisation (TUCO) to offer the winner of the Creativity in Catering and Retail Awards a study tour.

There are eight other categories, including: Campus Experience of the Year; Best Residence Life Experience; Excellence in Sports Experience; Innovation in Student Housing; Innovation in Student Experience; Business Partnership of the Year; Best Marketing Campaign and Creativity in Conferencing, Events and Hospitality.

Jane Donachy, CUBO Awards chair and associate director of catering, retail and accommodation at the University of the Arts, London, said: “Catering plays an integral role in building a university community, and never more so than in the current cost of living crisis. We’re delighted to be partnering with TUCO to offer the winner of the 2023 catering & retail award a TUCO study tour, to be taken during the 2023-4 academic year.”

The awards shortlist will be revealed in early May and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 6 July 2022 at the University of Glasgow.

Jan Capper, CUBO executive director, added: “As well as recognising the excellent work being done by campus services professionals, the CUBO Awards help us to promote best practice across the sector. We welcome entries from all higher and further education institutions, whether members of CUBO or not.”
