Abstract
Entries for the Waste2zero 2020 Awards, which recognise excellence in waste management in the out of home food and drinks sector, are set to close on 10 August.
In particular food waste has emerged as one of the challenges to the foodservice and hospitality industry. In the out of home sector around one million tonnes of food is wasted every year.
There are 14 categories to enter including the Food Distribution Award, Best Waste Management Project (food) and the Special Achievement Award.
The Waste2zero Awards are running for the fourth consecutive year and they seek to give the out of home industry a platform to showcase best practice in waste reduction and prevention.
The winners will be announced at an awards dinner to be held at the In & Out Club, 4 St James's Square, London SW1Y 4JU on Wednesday 14 October 2020.
