EAT begins using new technology to gain a deeper insight into its business

30th Sep 2011 - 00:00
Abstract
EAT, the popular food to go concept, is using technology from QlikTech to help managers make quicker and more informed decisions in real-time.
The QlikView Business Discovery platform provide EAT with a better understanding of its products, store and staff performance and consumer purchasing behaviours. As a fast-growing company, EAT said it needed a next-generation business intelligence solution to help spot growth opportunities and gain deeper insight into the business. QlikView's powerful in-memory search functionality will help EAT manipulate data and carry out basket analysis to make informed decisions on product development and sales – for example, a latte and croissant could be more profitable than a standalone product. EAT will also be equipping its field workers with Windows Tablets so they can use QlikView to get the latest business information at their fingertips - anywhere at any time. Rene Batsford, head of IT at EAT explained more: "We're looking forward to having access to a mature, scalable and flexible business intelligence system with information that is always up-to-date. "QlikView gives us access to instant, relevant data that is consistent across the business, so all managers are in unison. Access to this information and insight into product, store and employee performance also means best practice examples can be replicated across the business. "Our employees are amazed at what we have already learnt using QlikView – it's helped us discover opportunities that we never even considered before. We can't wait to start using it on a daily basis."
