Event and venue caterer Amadeus appoints Jane Cookson

Midlands-based event and venue caterer Amadeus has appointed Jane Cookson as business development manager to bring in new clients and increase catering profitability from existing ones.

Cookson, who is joining from the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) where she worked as the head of catering for six years, will report to sales director Chris Reynolds.

Her previous role meant she worked closely with Amadeus, the organisation’s catering partner, to service events including RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Cookson said: “I am delighted to join the Amadeus team at a fantastic time when the business is building upon its Olympic legacy, and many other new exciting projects.

“I look forward to drive the growth plans as well as maximise the commercial opportunities to raise the business profile at a global level.”

Kevin Watson, Amadeus managing director, said: “Jane’s appointment comes at a significant time for the business as we continue to explore new development opportunities and commercial viability of our existing strategies.

“Her 11 years of professional experience within the hospitality and airline industries provides her with the perfect skill set to expand business development opportunities for Amadeus.

“With the great experience that Jane brings to Amadeus, we are confident of her contribution towards achieving our growth targets.  We are delighted to welcome Jane on board.”

In addition Amadeus has taken on two new general managers to head up the catering at its sister venues the LG Arena and the National Indoor Arena (NIA).

Annie Monnox, previously head of operations for Amadeus at Olympic Park North, will oversee all the external an internal catering at the LG Arena.

Nick Cole, previously senior head of operations for Amadeus at Olympic Park North, will be responsible for the NIA.
