Fair Food Futures UK brings together photographs and stories shared by families with children living in Bradford and in Tower Hamlets, exploring how communities are responding to the challenges of accessing food and support.
Forty families have shared their stories through interviews, photography and video, offering unique insights into how people navigate food insecurity and community support.
Professor Maria Bryant, one of the project leads at the University of York, said: “Around one in four families with children in the UK faces food insecurity. Through this project, we’ve been learning from families and community organisations about what kinds of support make a real difference. And, how that support can be delivered with fairness and respect.”
The Fair Food Futures UK exhibition is free and runs until 21st February 2026, Monday to Saturday, from 9am to 5pm in the Food Hall of Darley Street Market in Bradford, BD1 3HH. To find out more about the project, visit www.fairfoodfuturesuk.org.
