Abstract
School caterers, managers and contract caterers can attend the School Food Show (5-6th July) free of charge, which is running alongside the LACA Main Event at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

The School Food Show will provide visitors with the ideal environment in which to meet suppliers and manufacturers who can offer products and solutions to help them. REGISTER FOR YOUR FREE TICKET.

According to research 94% of attendees said they were visiting the School Food Show to discover new products and services and in 2022 92% of the exhibitors rated the show as either good or excellent. Typical people attending the event include business managers, catering directors, chefs, headteachers, Trust catering mangers, catering services managers and development chefs.

The School Food Show is an unrivalled opportunity to source new ideas and innovations as well as compare a range of suppliers under one roof. Over 160 exhibitors will showcase food and beverages, equipment, systems and services.

Visitors will also be able to watch the national final of the School Chef of the Year competition over the course of the two days. Eleven school chefs will be competing for the prestigious SCOTY title, which will be announced at the LACA Awards for Excellence dinner.

Held in conjunction with the Craft Guild of Chefs, Finishing Touches is once again set to become one of the most talked about features of The LACA Main Event 2023.  The Finishing Touches craft pieces from across the 12 categories will be on display on Thursday 6th July in the Palace Suite.

LACA Live will return with cookery demonstrations focusing on low-cost, energy saving and low-waste ideas. It will also be an opportunity to see the inaugural winner of the LACA Grab & Go Challenge demonstrate their tasty and nutritious 'on the go' winning dish.

The free to attend workshop sessions will take place on Wednesday 5th July and offer practical advice on key operational issues, the impact of new legislation as well as sharing best practice case studies.
