Abstract
On this edition of Fun Friday Food Facts we explore some of my favourite foods including pizza, pasta, apple cider, bacon and watermelon.
- On Super Bowl Sunday around 58% of Americans order pizza, which makes it the highest selling day for pizza than any average day in a given calendar year.
- Italy produced about 22% of the world supply of pasta in 2015.
- It requires around 35 apples (or 9Kg) to produce a gallon (4.5 litres) of apple cider.
- Artist Mike Lahue created a bust of actor Kevin Bacon using bacon, which was sold to raise money for charity.
- Watermelon is grown in over 90 countries around the world.
