Abstract
One of the leading meals providers in the healthcare sector, Apetito, recently welcomed the Governor of the Bank of England Andrew Bailey on a visit to its head office and production kitchens in Wiltshire.

He was keen to understand the current labour market challenges, raw material price pressures and the impact upon customer demand.

Richard Ring, chief financial officer at Apetito, highlighted the company’s role in providing food to some of the most vulnerable in society, across healthcare and care homes. Also on the agenda was the importance of corporate action to address the challenge of climate change.

Ring said: “Apetito is proud of its track record of growth and combining that with a mission to make a real difference to the lives of our customers. Whilst current supply chain pressures are posing real challenges for industry more widely, we remain committed to investing for growth and positioning ourselves as one of the UK’s leading food businesses.”

The company also invests heavily in providing specialist nutritional meals to customers living with conditions such as dysphagia and dementia.
