Abstract
Industry charity Hospitality Action is hosting its annual Christmas Online Auction to raise money for people struggling in the hospitality industry.

The Online Christmas Auction opens at 10am on 28 November and will last until 2pm on 9 December.

The ‘star prizes’ include:

  • An overnight spa break for two at the 5-star Seaham Hall in County Durham.
  • An overnight Championship Course golf break at Hever Castle in Kent.
  • A Michelin-starred lunch at Five Fields Restaurant in London.
  • An overnight stay at 5-star Lime Wood in the New Forest with dinner at Hartnett Holder and Co.

Hospitality Action was launched in 1837 and it aims to offer financial, physical or psychological support services to help people from hospitality get back on their feet.

Last year Hospitality Action spent £902,305 on supporting over 4,000 people in need. The money raised from the Christmas Online Auction will enable Hospitality Action to help more people in 2020.

A £60 donation will pay for school uniform for a child from a struggling family, £150 will cover the cost of fuel over the winter months for a hospitality worker and £1,800 can pay for a mobility scooter to offer independence to those who would otherwise be housebound.
