Leicestershire school chef goes viral for providing nutritious meals
Abstract
Faye Hughes, a school chef who has a ‘passion for food’, has gone viral on social media after showing off her nutritious school meals which have been produced in an attempt to get children eating more healthy foods, it was reported by BBC News.

The mother of three children has had millions on views on Tik Tok and Instagram after making the decision to showcase what she does everyday to provide children with hot, healthy and nutritious meals.

Hughes, who works for Cedars Academy in Leicestershire, said she made the videos to showcase to other people what a healthy school meal should look like. Cedars Academy is a mixed secondary school with more 1,000 pupils.

Hughes, who started off as a kitchen assistant, said: "With the popular dishes the queue is so long we can't serve quickly enough. I believe that young people deserve real food - food that's not processed.

“I like knowing the food that we put out, we actually know what's in it. If we're providing a healthy nutritious meal that also tastes really good and keeps them coming back, I'm doing my job."
