Caterplus is the specialist care catering arm of contract caterer Elior UK. Laura is responsible for its portfolio of contracts which encompass retail and commercial outlets within the NHS and retirement living settings, residential care & nursing homes and the assisted and independent living sector.
Having worked in the catering industry for over 20 years Laura now leads over 1,000 staff within her care and retirement living team who look after 10,500 residents across 261 establishments UK wide.
Her 350 plus strong hospitals team works alongside 16 hospitals and as well as delivering meals for 400 hospital beds. They provide delicious and nutritious food for over seven million staff and visitors annually via 43 onsite retail outlets including restaurants, shops and cafés.
Having recently been awarded a five-year contract by RMBI Care Co to provide catering services for 13 of its care homes across England and Wales valued at £25m in total turnover, Laura will share the innovative thinking and new approaches when it comes to winning new contracts and delivering bespoke meals and beverages across the care and retirement living sector.
The panel will also discuss new ideas, approaches, concepts and formats emerging across the foodservice and hospitality sector as a result of the challenges of the last few years.
