Abstract
Warewasher manufacturer Meiko has launched a ‘recognition of service’ programme to celebrate its long serving workers and their “continuing contribution.”

Of its 98 employees, 25 have been with the company for more than ten years, eight for over 20 years, and three for over 30 years - clocking up a total 539 years between them this month.

Senior technical service engineers Shaun Crossley and Dave Edmundson and technical services director, Dave Kemp, are all 30-year veterans, and will be honoured by Meiko along with fellow long-standing employees “with the introduction of this long service award scheme.”

Managing director Paul Anderson explained: “Employees with expertise, commitment and dedication are crucial to the running of a successful business. Our achievements and industry-leading status are due to the dedication and hard work of our staff.”

The news follows numerous industry wins for Meiko UK this year, including the UK catering industry’s ‘Supplier of the Year: Service & Support’ award, and both CEDA’s ‘Outstanding Technical Support’ and ‘Outstanding Customer Service’ awards.

Anderson added: “We are saluting the efforts of our staff. Their contribution to Meiko’s positive culture and ‘can-do’ customer services over years of sincere effort has made Meiko a truly unique phenomenon of the UK catering industry.”

Technical services director, Dave Kemp, commented: “Meiko is a great employer. From the very beginnings of the company, our ethos has always been to strive for the highest standards of customer service.

“The substantial number of Meiko staff receiving long service awards is testament to the company’s dedication to creating sustainable careers, and to providing continuing professional development.”
