The event brought together catering managers, area managers, operations teams and support office colleagues for a day designed to ‘inspire’ foodie collaboration, share best practice and strengthen connections across the business. It provided team with practical ideas and fresh inspiration to take back to their own teams.
Throughout the morning, teams participated in a series of sessions covering themed menu days, added-value initiatives, team engagement, succession planning and mental wellbeing.
A highlight of the lunchtime experience was the Tuk Truck, celebrating its first anniversary. Guests enjoyed dishes from the themed ‘Football Flavours’ menu, including poutine and loaded fries, prepared by executive development chef Mike Stroud and area manager Martin Harrington.
The afternoon continued with a supplier trade fair, featuring ten partners including Quorn, Tugo, Love Joes, Andertons Butchers, Dole, Pasta King, HIT Training Bidfood and Dunsters Farm. This provided catering teams with valuable opportunities to explore new product developments and discuss ideas directly with suppliers.
Team Mellors collectively raised £1,260 through hotel room donations, with funds supporting the vital work of Zoe’s Place Liverpool.
