Abstract
Foodservice solutions company Mount Charles has crowned Eniko Hadju as its barista of the year.
The competition saw eight of the company’s best baristas shortlisted to four in the final who were tasked with a speed trial, followed by a 20 minute challenge to create four single espressos, four double shot cappuccinos and four signature coffees.
Leann Duffy from Mount Charles, said: “It’s the culmination of a lot of hard work and dedication to excellence, and for us the competition is a means to ensure a continued focus on pushing our skill levels to the limit.”
The four finalists were: Eniko Hadju (Fed & Watered, Exeter Airport), Jackie Rickard (Southern Regional College, Newry) Thomas Gourley (Fed & Watered, Belfast International Airport), Luis del Orbe (Belfast Metropolitan College.)
