Mount Charles to upgrade restaurant at Belfast International Airport
Abstract
The Mount Charles Group has announced it is investing £1million in a major revamp of its food and beverage offering at Belfast International Airport.

The company employs 3,000 staff across Northern Ireland and is one of the largest independent catering, cleaning, events and facilities management companies in the country.

The new Northern Quarter will transform from a traditional food court model to a single high-end restaurant and bar, with a seating capacity for 180, complemented by a new coffee dock in collaboration with Bewley’s.

Gavin Annon, Mount Charles chief strategy officer, said: “This £1 million investment is a tangible commitment to Belfast International Airport and to the people who deliver the Northern Quarter experience every day.

“We’re investing in the physical environment – the fit-out and re-design – and in the labour and training required to deliver a premium, hospitality-led offer. We’re proud to be creating new, local employment opportunities in the Northern Quarter while supporting local contractors and suppliers who are helping to deliver this transformative upgrade for passengers.”

The new Northern Quarter is due to re-open Spring 2026.
