The annual contest, which celebrates the next generation of hospitality talent, will see the winning team immersed in the vibrant food culture that has made Scandinavia a global culinary hotspot.
David McKown, competition director, commented: "The study tour aims to broaden horizons and inspire, Sweden represents everything that’s exciting about contemporary cuisine with their respect for local ingredients, clean flavours and seasonality.”
The competition is supported by major industry partners and it challenges teams to demonstrate technical skill and innovation under pressure. The 2026 semi-finals will be held at Lainston House on 11th March.
Applications for the 2026 UK Young Restaurant Team of the Year are now open. Entrants must be no older than 21-years-old at the national final.
