NHS Supply Chain: Food to re-tender Fresh Food & Food to Go Frameworks
Abstract
NHS Supply Chain: Food will this spring launch the tender of its new combined framework, which aims to bring fresh food and food-to-go-options together in one agreement allowing suppliers greater flexibility.

Megan Wilkins, a category buyer for NHS Supply Chain: Food, says the new arrangement will allow suppliers greater flexibility.

To help NHS catering buyers and their suppliers to prepare, a pre-market engagement notice and Request for Information (RFI) have been published on the Government’s ‘Find a Tender’ website. If you want to know then review the details via this link: https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/

Wilkins commented: “This is a fantastic opportunity for both new and existing suppliers to secure a place on an eight-year Open Framework. Joining our framework offers a streamlined and efficient route to market. This can help businesses grow through access to a large customer base and it also allows us to adapt to changes in the market.”

In other news, Greg Archer has stepped up into the role of head of procurement at NHS Supply Chain: Food, ‘hitting the ground running’ and setting the direction for 2026.

He has a wealth of experience from his time as one of the organisation’s category leads, and says he’s ‘ready to drive momentum and shape bold, new initiatives to help caterers and their trusts.
