Public Sector Catering announces shortlisted Awards finalists
The third shortlist has been announced for the Public Sector Catering Awards, featuring the Armed Forces Award, Catering College Award, Chef of the Year Award and the Unsung Hero Award.

The Public Sector Catering Awards aim to celebrate excellence across the public sector in schools, hospitals, universities, prisons, care homes and the Armed Forces.

The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 4th April 2023 at Hilton London Metropole. There were 17 categories available for nomination and a Lifetime Achievement Award, which will be announced on the night. 

Armed Forces     

  • Sgt Tracey Smith - Royal Air Force
  • Pte Sachita Tamang - British Army
  • POCS Cat Taylor - Royal Navy

Catering College Award    

  • John Holden - South Cheshire College
  • Cambridge Regional College
  • North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College
  • University College Birmingham

Chef of the Year Award

  • Kath Breckon - NYES Catering (North Yorkshire Council)
  • Saverio Cordaro - Ardingly College
  • Ravikkanth Kanthiya - Royal Holloway, University of London
  • Tony Murphy – ESS
  • Stuart Pelham - Llys Cyncoed, Care UK
  • Gary Periti - Sodexo UK & Ireland

Unsung Hero Award

  • Dale Campbell - Brooke Weston Trust
  • Lisa Connellan - King's College London
  • Fiona Murray - East Ayrshire Council
  • Michael Taylor - Sodexo
