In just the past month, the term generated 4.5 million UK Google searches, up 87% month-on-month. Around 600,000 more people are now making the search compared with last January. Globally, the UK ranks as the 4th highest country searching for ‘how to cook’, accounting for just over 15% of worldwide searches.
This data has been analysed by Flavoury.com, a new global streaming platform focused on Michelin-style home cooking. The platform offers hundreds of videos—from step-by-step recipes and behind-the-scenes footage of iconic restaurants to personal stories from the chefs who shape today’s fine dining.
Around 80% of the recipes are everyday dishes that anyone can recreate at home—ranging from paella and pad Thai to ravioli, Wiener schnitzel and classic mac & cheese. Among the chefs contributing to Flavoury are:
- Ana Roš – Hiša Franko, Slovenia (2★ Michelin), awarded World’s Best Female Chef and World’s Best Chef 2024
- Julien Royer – Odette, Singapore (3★ Michelin), repeatedly named Asia’s Best Restaurant;
- Paolo Casagrande – Lasarte, Spain (3★ Michelin)
- Mark Birchall – Moor Hall, UK (2★ Michelin + Green Star)
- Emmanuel Stroobant – Saint Pierre, Singapore (2★ Michelin)
- Heinz Beck – La Pergola, Rome (3★ Michelin)
Norbert Dworzyński, founder of Flavoury, said: “We wanted to create a space where everyone—from home cooks to professionals—can draw inspiration directly from the masters. Flavoury was born from a passion for cooking and the belief that access to the knowledge of the world’s greatest chefs should have no boundaries. This platform changes the way we learn to cook.”
