Simon Jack reprises facilitator role at CESA Conference
Abstract
The Catering Equipment Suppliers Association (CESA) has announced that business journalist Simon Jack will reprise his role as the conference facilitator this year.

CESA are the ‘voice’ of the foodservice equipment industry and represent over 200 companies. The 2019 CESA conference is being held on 13-14 November at the Renaissance London Heathrow Hotel.

John Whitehouse, CESA chair, said: “[Jack] was a big hit with the 2018 Conference. His combination of erudition, determination and his ability to pin people down, made him very popular.  We are overjoyed that he’s agreed to facilitate again.”

The theme for this year’s conference is ‘2020 visions’ in an attempt to make sense of the present while giving insight into the future. The conference is not only a place for insight and debate but also networking.

The keynote speakers include Kathleen Seelye from Ricca consultancy, Andy Earley head of procurement at Hilton Hotels and Rohit Talwar chief executive of Fast Future who will run an interactive session on the future of foodservice.

The CESA annual general meeting has been moved to the afternoon of the first day of the event (13 November) at 3pm before the informal networking dinner, which will be raising funds for charity.

After the conference on 14 November there will be a gala dinner awards where the FCSI Sustainable Equipment Award, the CESA Training & Development Award and the CESA John Gilbert Foodservice Equipment Industry Apprentice Award will all be announced. The 2019 recipient of the Outstanding Contribution to the Catering Equipment Industry will also be unveiled.
