22nd Jun 2007 - 00:00
Abstract
Sodexho, a leading food and facilities management company, has strengthened its standing as one of the top 100 companies focused on corporate responsibility, according to Business in the Community's Corporate Responsibility Index recently listed in The Sunday Times 'Companies that Count' supplement.
All companies that take part are required to provide supporting evidence to substantiate their application and are issued with a feedback report. Business in the Community launched its Corporate Responsibility Index in 1996 to help companies benchmark their performance. Tim Lucas, corporate responsibility manager said: "Our position in the Index is testament to the hard work of our staff and their commitment in this area. We are delighted to have achieved silver status this year and will be pushing through further initiatives that will enable us to improve our performance".
