Sodexo retains gold award at Chesterfield Royal Hospital

Global services company Sodexo has retained their gold accreditation by Investors in People (IIP) after showcasing ‘exceptional teamwork and best practise’ at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

The IIP assessment of Sodexo’s work at the hospital found:

  • People are clearly engaged in and are passionate and proud of their work.
  • Managers have created a working environment, which is open, honest and supportive.
  • Leaders invest significantly in developing their teams.

Paul Devoy, chief executive of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate the Sodexo team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. Gold accreditation investors in people is a fantastic effort for any organisation and places Sodexo in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”

Sodexo has been providing patient dining at Chesterfield Royal Hospital since 1999 and company secured a further four-year contract extension starting in February 2021.

Caron Bromley, general manager for Sodexo at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, added: “We were first awarded the IIP gold accreditation in November 2016, and we are absolutely delighted to have retained this accreditation status four years on.

“I’m proud to manage this brilliant team and believe the accreditation demonstrates what can be achieved through positive teamwork and employee engagement.”
