Abstract
Services company Sodexo is kicking off the New Year with a brand new, £4 million-a-year contract with Scottish Fire and Rescue (SFRS).

It will see Sodexo deliver a range of soft services (including catering, cleaning, security and waste services) across SFRS’ 420 Scotland-based sites.

The deal hopes to help SFRS achieve its ‘transformation’ strategy, which focuses on “improving the safety and wellbeing of the communities it serves.”

Sarah O’Donnell, SFRS director of financial and contractual services, commented: “We are absolutely committed to providing the best value service for the people of Scotland.

“This contract will enable us to do exactly that, ensuring a consistent level of service across all SFRS properties and allowing us to concentrate on our core roles and responsibilities as we work to continue protecting Scotland’s communities.”

Chief executive of Sodexo defence and government services, Paul Anstey, added: “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract and look forward to helping Scottish Fire and Rescue concentrate on their key priority of keeping their communities safe.”
