Sodexo's corporate HR director takes global opportunity

Abstract
Sodexo has announced that corporate HR director Raj Verma has left the UK to take up a role as HR director for the company's business in Australia and New Zealand.
His responsibilities in this new role include leadership of the overall HR function and as a member of the executive team, joint accountability for further growing and managing the overall Sodexo business in the region. As well as HR, Verma will also be providing the strategic direction and operational management of the payroll and communications departments. Verma commented on his new role: "I am delighted to have been appointed to this role and am looking forward to working in another exciting and progressive part of the wider Sodexo organisation." Natalie Bickford, HR director, UK and Ireland, added: "As a global company, Sodexo provides its employees with opportunities to further their careers abroad. Raj will be sorely missed in his role here, but who could try and stand in the way of such an outstanding career development opportunity. I wish him all the best and thank him for his hard work and commitment to Sodexo."
