SSP awarded 11 titles at F&B Awards 2019
Abstract
SSP celebrated a successful night at The Moodie Davitt Report Airport Food and Beverage (FAB) Awards 2019, held at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport after it won 11 awards.

SSP Sweden scooped the top award for Environmental Initiative of the Year. SSP America was named regional winner and was highly commended for its work at JFK International Airport Terminal 4 in the Environmental Initiative of the Year category.

The Airport Bar of the Year Asia Pacific regional award was handed to The Cabin at Mactan Cebu International Airport. SSP scored two regional wins for New Food & Beverage Concept of the Year with Alas by Hermanos Torres at Barcelona Airport and Line Café at Hong Kong International Airport.

The outstanding achievement of two of SSP’s employees were also recognised at the awards. Both Renata DeGeorge from SSP America and Luca Sangiuliano from SSP Frabel were highly commended candidates for Airport Chef of the Year.

Simon Smith, chief executive of SSP Group, said; “With yet another successful year for SSP in airport F&B, we are honoured to have been given these awards, which reflect our culture of innovation, our excellent teams of people across the globe and our ability to understand and meet customer needs.

“I would like to thank and congratulate all winners, in particular Nick Inkster for his invaluable work over the last 25 years at SSP."

Inkster, chief executive of SSP Nordics & Spain will be retiring shortly. His contributions towards the industry were recognised with the award of Outstanding Career Contribution to Airport Food and Beverage.
