
The results show that over half (58%) of the Veganuary 2025 participants who have continued to eat a fully vegan diet for the past six months have experienced improved mood. Other benefits highlighted include increased energy (55%), better skin (48%) and desired change in body weight (47%).
Overall, 59% of those who maintained a vegan diet reported improvements to their general health. The survey also revealed that most respondents (80%) have maintained a dramatic reduction in their animal product consumption.
Participants were also asked how Veganuary helped them:
- 67% feel more inspired in the kitchen
- 52% said Veganuary helped them to make more adventurous food choices
- 49% said it helped them to make more sustainable food choices
- 49% said it helped them to make healthier food choices
Commenting on these results, Veganuary’s UK director Dan Kidby said: “Year after year, it’s clear that Veganuary creates lasting change. The fact that nearly 60% of participants report improved mood and increased energy levels is remarkable. Whether people are looking to have a more positive outlook, increase their energy or simply feel better overall, these findings show that trying vegan can lead to lasting positive health changes.”
The survey was sent by Veganuary to 237,346 of the people who received the 31 daily emails during the 2025 campaign (2,115 people responded).
