This new contract sees White Oaks provide resident catering services for approximately 300 residents across seven developments in London and an Extra Care independent living development in Burgess Hill.
All eight sites offer a daily lunch menu designed to provide a consistent, balanced meal with a focus on comforting, traditional dishes and familiar flavours. Each menu includes a selection of starters, main courses, and desserts, with options available to suit a range of tastes and preferences, including vegetarian choices.
Menus feature a variety of well-established favourites alongside lighter alternatives, all supported by a choice of vegetables and sides. As part of the agreement, 40 employees have transferred to White Oaks.
Nutritional information is clearly presented, with dishes labelled for calorie content as well as identified as vegetarian, healthy choice, or high protein, enabling informed meal selection. Meals are freshly prepared and served in a communal setting, supporting a structured and sociable dining experience.
Laura Tighe, business director at White Oaks, said: “This new partnership is a true testament to the dedication and passion of our entire team. We believe that great food is at the heart of great care - it brings not just nutrition, but comfort, joy and a sense of community to residents every single day.
“As part of our remit with Housing 21, we’ll be bringing continuity across the sites, stable focussed teams and a developed food offer - making a real, positive difference to the lives of the people we serve.”
