Abstract
Caroline Martin has been appointed sales director of Sittingbourne-based Q Catering as part of the company’s continued growth plan to turnover £20m by 2030.

Q Catering offers an ever-increasing range of high-quality grocery, chilled, and frozen food products, from local and national suppliers.

Caroline leaves Kent Frozen Foods (KFF) as regional sales manager after 16 years at the company to join Q Catering during an ‘exciting period of growth’. She joins the senior leadership team along with Nick Jennings who was recently appointed as financial director.

Caroline will head up the seven-person sales team which includes both field and telesales. She will be responsible for growing the customer base by guiding the team to provide high quality customer service and tighten efficiencies by introducing new processes.

She commented: “We have a robust but challenging business plan, and I am confident we will reach our goal by following it closely. I have used my first few weeks in the role to take every opportunity to meet and get to know our customers.

“It’s vital that we don’t lose touch with reality in these challenging times and stay close to our customers. My vision is that our customers will see my team as an extension of their business, acting as a consultant and mentor.

“Our new 22,600 sq. ft facilities, including the recent 11,000 sq. ft freezer installation, have allowed us to undertake a range review and endeavour to not only build our comprehensive range of core products but also make space for new, innovative lines. This allows us to keep up with current trends and customer demand, which is both important and exciting.”
