Abstract
JJ Foodservice has more than doubled its product range across its Dagenham, Bristol and Leicester sites in a move that has improved choice for customers.
The wholesaler is using its JJ Advance Order (JJAO) system to increase the range of products in smaller branches. Customers can buy-to-order for next day delivery on up to 1,000 additional products at each branch.
Kaan Hendekli, head of operations at JJ Foodservice, said: “We are helping to improve choice without compromising on service levels. As discretionary income falls – we have found new ways to make basket spend go up.”
Following the initiative launch, JJ Foodservice has sold more than 50,000 additional cases of goods via the JJAO platform. Sales are on track to exceed one million within the first year of launching. Plans are in place to continue rolling out the initiative to increase range in the remaining branches.
