Zambrero celebrates 100 million meals donated through its Plate 4 Plate initiative
Abstract
Zambrero, the modern Mexican restaurant group, is marking the milestone of donating 100 million meals through its Plate 4 Plate initiative by giving away 100,000 free burritos across its restaurants worldwide.

Customers in the UK will be able to bag themselves a free burrito on Wednesday 17th December between 11am – 2pm at any of Zambrero’s restaurants located in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Reading and Essex. People are advised to arrive early to beat the queue.

Zambrero was founded in Australia in 2005 by Dr. Sam Prince, one of Australia’s most successful entrepreneurs and philanthropists. For every burrito or bowl purchased at any of its restaurants, a nutritious meal is sent to someone in need in the developing world via Zambrero’s distribution partner Rise Against Hunger.

Emily Teh, chief executive of Zambrero UK, said: “We are thrilled to have reached this momentous milestone of 100 million meals donated through our Plate 4 Plate initiative. Our ethos of giving back is at the heart of the Zambrero brand, where our mission is to help end world hunger.

“To celebrate this milestone and to thank our customers for supporting us with our mission, we’re giving away 100,000 free burritos across the world. We can’t wait to celebrate with our customers and spread our Feel Good Mex message across the UK.”
