Vic Laws and Louise Willis have been providing services since the 1990s, but they have decided that it is now time for them to move on.
When Vic started with ACE (then called the European Caterers Association) it was in financial difficulties and membership was low. He and Louise have built the association into an organisation which is now on a good financial footing having supported many charities over the years and now with a large member database.
It was thought by many that Louise would take over when Vic retired. AVL will be supporting ACE to find a new business partner to take over in April 2026.
Louise said: “I have really enjoyed my time with ACE, but after completing my master’s in history a couple of years ago, I would like to explore other options and feel that now is the time for the association to have a fresh start with someone new.”
The ACE Board, past and present, extends its heartfelt thanks to Vic and Louise for their ‘outstanding’ dedication, hard work, and invaluable contributions over the past several decades.
A spokesperson for ACE said: “We would not be the networking association it is today without their leadership and vision. Their stewardship has played a pivotal role in shaping a strong platform where our industry can connect and support the next generation. We wish Vic and Louise all the very best for the future.”
