BaxterStorey wins ‘multi-million pound’ contract with RBS

16th Mar 2012 - 00:00
Abstract
Independent business and industry contract caterer BaxterStorey has been awarded a major multi-million pound contract to provide catering for the Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBS) across the UK.
The five-year contract will see BaxterStorey providing staff dining and corporate hospitality services for more than 50,000 employees at multiple RBS sites. Alastair Storey, chief executive of parent company WSH and chairman of BaxterStorey, said RBS staff and guests would benefit from a wide range of fresh, seasonal food that would be locally-sourced and creatively prepared by BaxterStorey's highly-skilled chefs, at a price that was very competitive with the high street. He added: "To be awarded a contract of this scale is fantastic news for BaxterStorey, and indeed the wider WSH business. "This is a truly significant deal for the company as we enter our next phase of growth and will only strengthen our reputation as the UK's leading independent contract caterer. "In addition, BaxterStorey's sister company, benugo, will operate at a number of RBS locations with their award-winning café and deli bars." Noel Mahony, BaxterStorey's chief executive, said: "This is an exciting and substantial win for BaxterStorey. "We put a lot of hard work and energy into securing this deal so we are absolutely delighted to be selected. "We have recently invested in additional resources in order to be prepared for a win of this scale; our mobilisation team are on standby and we're looking forward to getting the mobilisation process underway this week and engaging with the RBS teams."
