McMeikan will address an audience of foodservice and hospitality industry colleagues on the topics of the day on Monday 4th April at the Savoy Hotel.
He joined Brakes as group chief executive in March 2013. He moved to Brakes from Greggs PLC, where he was CEO of the retail business for five years.
Previously, McMeikan was retail and online director at Sainsbury’s during the three year turnaround with Justin King, and prior to that he spent 14 years with Tesco where his latter roles included CEO of Tesco in Japan and CEO of Europa Foods.
The announcement comes as Wendy Bartlett, founder and CEO of contract caterer bartlett mitchell, was the speaker at Arena’s Christmas event.
